Inter-state convergence regressions produce the following time estimates.

There is a clear difference between the fractiles of 90-99 percent and the top percentile. While the increasing trend of the former reveals a further deviation from the national mean after the 1940s an, the latter sharply converges to the national mean after the Second World War until the mid 1980s.
