3.5 Description of aspects related to personality

No significant difference comes out again on the scores of Neuroticisme and lying between course-takers and controls (table 5). More than 10 % of both samples have a high lying score, what is called by Eysenck: “a tendency to distort reality in its advantage” consciously or subconsciously, including denial. A high score (corresponding to the last two classes of Eysenck test) characterizes men course-takers. For men, course-takers or controls, the quartile 3rd measured for the score of extroversion (score=16) corresponds to the 9th class (out of 10) of Eysenck’s classification. The women course-takers also have this score for their quartile 3rd. On the other hand, for control women the quartile 3rd was only 13 (7th class of the classification of Eysenck).
