2.2.1. Material

In both non-social experiments, visual stimuli presented were incomplete movies representing an actor’s hand manipulating meaningless objects. The objects used were three rectangular cubes of similar size (3cm x 6cm) and orientation, placed at equal distance (16.8 cm) from the starting position of the actor’s hand. Actions were performed on one single cube (motor experiment) or on each of the three cubes (superordinate experiment) in the direction of the centre of the scene. Each trial was unique, meaning that all the movies were presented only once to prevent any influence of memorized kinematics parameters on participants’ performance.
