2.3.1 Material

In both the social motor and superordinate experiment, visual stimuli consisted of incomplete movies showing two players’ hands (one in front of the other) manipulating cubes printed with a blue or a red line. The cubes were of similar size (6cm X 6cm) and located at equal distance from the starting position of each player’s hand. The first player manipulated the cube closest to him, and then the second player in turn manipulated the cube closest to him. Movies were cut so that the last action (i.e. the action performed by the second player) was incomplete (1480 ms, 1560 ms, 1640 ms after the last action starts).
