L’objet de notre recherche consiste à analyser la métaphore en langue de spécialité qui constitue encore un thème de réflexion très peu développé. Dans cette perspective, l’analyse de la métaphore dans la langue de la cardiologie représente une aventure ambitieuse car c’est vouloir démontrer qu’elle n’est pas une simple façon de parler, mais aussi un élément constitutif de notre pensée et de notre expérience du monde. L’un des objectifs majeurs de ce travail est d’apporter une réflexion et une contribution sur la nature et les diverses fonctions tenues par la métaphore dans la terminologie médicale. Pour ce faire, nous avons présenté un modèle possible de base de données qui a servi d’éclaireur lors de l’élucidation de certaines questions que l’on s’est posé à propos de la métaphore terminologique.Ainsi, pour nous, il ne fait guère de doute que, dans l'activité scientifique, la métaphore est une nécessité, un outil précieux, mais dotée d’un mode d’emploi particulier. Pourtant, pendant très longtemps, cette vision de la métaphore n’a guère eu de faveur parce qu’elle prend à rebours la tradition wüsterienne qui considère la métaphore comme une entité non rationnelle tendant vers des représentations floues dite subjectives, dénuées de rigueur scientifique et enfin porteuses d’ambiguïté. Notre position est autre. La métaphore est un chemin très souvent emprunté par les scientifiques qui peuvent apprécier sa capacité à produire de la connaissance et à dénommer. Nous avons vu aussi que la métaphore terminologique joue un rôle indéniable dans la communication spécialisée, ce que l’on a pourtant longtemps réfuté. La métaphore terminologique dans le domaine de la cardiologie remplit cinq fonctions : cognitive, heuristique, dénominative, métalinguistique et didactique.Enfin, nous terminerons avec l’idée que la métaphore se présente comme une clef linguistique aux conceptualisations cognitives dans le domaine des sciences. |

The goal of our search consists in analysing the metaphor in the speciality language which still constitute a reflexion theme not very well clarified.In this perspective, the analysis of the metaphor in the cardiology language represents a real ambitious adventure, as it is a will to demostrate that it is not only a simple way to talk, but also a key element of our thought and world experience. One of the major point of this work is to bring a reflexion and a contribution to nature and to the various functions hold by the metaphor in the medical terminology.To do it, we have presented a possible data basis model which throw light on the elucidation of certain questions reguarding the terminological metaphor.Thus, for us, there is no doubt that in the scientific activity, the metaphor is a need, a precious tool, but endowed with characteristical operating instructions.Yet, for a long time this vision of the metaphor was not in favour, as it contrasted with the Wusterian tradition wich had considered the metaphor as a non rational entity aiming at vague representations said to be not only subjectives but also devoid of any scientific rigour, and carrier of ambiguity.Our position is different. The metaphor is a path often followed by scientists who can appreciate its ability to produce knowledge and to denominate.We have also seen that the terminological metaphor has an undeniable walk-on part in the specialized communication, a fact that had been refutated for a long time.The terminological metaphor in the cardiology field carries out five functions : cognitive, heuristic, denominative, metalinguistic, didactic.Finally we will end with the idea of the metaphor presenting itself as a linguistic key with cognitive conceptualization amoung sciences field. |

O objectivo da nossa pesquisa consistiu em analisar a metáfora em língua de especialidade, um tema de reflexão ainda pouco desenvolvido. Nesta perspectiva, a análise da metáfora no âmbito da cardiologia representa um desafio ambicioso já que se pretende demonstrar que a metáfora não é um simples modo de dizer mas também um elemento constitutivo do nosso pensamento e da nossa experiência no mundo. Fruto deste trabalho chegámos a uma reflexão e a um contributo sobre a natureza e as diversas funções sustentadas pela metáfora na terminologia médica. Para tanto, apresentámos um modelo de uma base de dados que serviu para elucidar certas questões que se colocavam à volta da metáfora terminológica. Acreditamos que a metáfora é uma necessidade em ciência, um instrumento valioso que carece de uma utilização específica. É certo que durante muito tempo, esta visão da metáfora não tivera adesão uma vez que esta contrariava a tradição wüsteriana que a considerava como uma entidade não racional tendente às representações vagas e de tipo subjectivo, desprovidas de rigor científico e, portanto, portadoras de ambiguidade. A nossa leitura é outra. A metáfora é uma via frequentemente utilizada pelos cientistas que podem testar a sua eficácia em denominar e em produzir conhecimento. Constatou-se, ainda, que a metáfora terminológica desempenha um papel fulcral na comunicação especializada o que, durante muito tempo, nos foi negado. É por esta via que a metáfora terminológica, na área da cardiologia pode preencher cinco funções a saber: a cognitiva, a heurística, a denominativa, a metalinguística e a didáctica, conferindo a esta especialidade médica um maior e melhor conhecimento e operacionalidade. Para finalizar, resta-nos acrescentar que a metáfora se nos apresenta como uma chave linguística para as conceptualizações cognitivas existentes em cada vector do domínio das ciências. |
