Résumé  anglais : This thesis proposes an analysis of Theban society under the XXIst dynasty (1069-945 BC), or at least of its known elite members. Egypt, at the turn of the Ist millennium BC, is of particular historical interest since it presents a fundamental modification of power: the XXIst Pharaohs Dynasty ruled in the north of Egypt, whereas High Priests of Amun clergy governed in the southern part of the country, with a theocratic regime. These political and religious transformations, in addition to the new upward mobility of the Libyans, occurred after the reduction of the Egyptian territory at the end of the New Kingdom and generated social changes that we have tried to identify and describe. A prosopographic database including all the male contemporaries of the XXIst dynasty found in Thebes, was made. Its analysis, which takes into account social and political anthropological advances, contributes to explain the structure and, so as far as possible with the available sources, the functioning of the Theban society under the XXIst dynasty. The aim was to determine if this society is an identical reconstruction of the traditional Pharaonic societies or if the theocratic system generated important modifications of the society in Thebes. The thesis is organized into three parts: first, the position of individuals in the social body was determined, using differentiation criteria between the Thebans; in particular familial relationships or name. Secondly, an analysis was made of the institutional framework of the Theban society and the balance of power which was in place there. Finally, a study was conducted of the relation to the territory, specifically an outline of the Theban influence in Egypt and on the international scene on the one hand and, on the other hand, the impact of the different social and family groups on various parts of this territory as well as underlying power struggles.
